Service Delivery Meeting Feedback- October

Feedback from Service Delivery Meeting held 20 October 2022

Departments not in attendance: Energy; Real Estate; Water; City Planning; Transportation; Fleet Management

MMC mentioned that non attendance is unacceptable and will be addressed with consequence management applied.

Waste Department: Fleet is still an issue. As trucks become available, they are sent to areas. Unfortunately, this cannot be communicated in time as most residents are at work. The department understands the challenges with regards to bins being stolen, but kindly request bins to continue being put out in order to ensure collection. Illegal dumping in the city is causing major delays in delivery services.

Finance Department: There are currently meter readers employed, they have paperwork and Identity cards with their photos on, please could they be allowed to read meters.

Residents are encouraged to continue submitting their readings through. On this note, only the numbers indicated in the white section. Some have been sending the whole number through which is causing the continuation of interim readings.

The issue of attitude of officials was also addressed and this will be attended to with urgency.

ICT is working on the issues experienced with the My CoE App and will hopefully be sorted within a month or two.

The debt rehabilitation program still continues, residents are encouraged to visit the customer care Call to apply for debt rehabilitation for those needed.
